Anne Frank: The Diary of A Young Girl (Illustrator_Nina)

For this literature circles meeting my group, Ana, Claire, Arabella, and I have finished reading The Diary of a Young Girl: Anne Frank, thus this blog post is my last one regarding this book. I will be the Illustrator. Furthermore, I will have not have one, but three illustrations as this is the last couple of pages of this book.

Illustration #1:

What my group thought this illustration represents:
My group thought of flirtation when they first saw this picture which is what it represents.

In this illustration we can see Peter and Anne in the "Annex" being together, looking out through the window. I drew this picture because I was happy that Anne found comfort and trust in someone other then her diary despite the circumstances. While drawing them, I did look at the picture of Anne as it was the cover page, and for Peter, I just drew him the way I imagined a young man back in that time period. Furthermore, this picture represents not only the letters exchanged between Anne and Margot regarding Margot's feelings for Peter, but also the fact that Anne did find someone she could truly love. Nevertheless, Anne also had her first kiss, which as we all must know is a big deal for girl of her age.

Illustration #2:

What my group thought this illustration represents:
For this illustration, my group said that it represents Anne on her birthday being contented.

The second illustration is of Anne on her 15th birthday. I drew this because I thought that it was important as this was her last birthday before they were betrayed and sent to concentration camps. Moreover, this  picture also has  a cake to symbolize the birthday celebration.

Illustration #3:

What my group thought this illustration represents:
My group thought that this illustration represents Anne and everyone from the Annex when they were betrayed and sent to their most certain death.

Lastly, this picture is again of Anne. However, unfortunately they have been betrayed and have been taken to concentration camps where they have all passed away except for Otto Frank, who has survived and published her diary as a memoir.

*We have read all 268/268 of Anne Frank:The Diary of A Young Girl
